ARE BABY JOON PLAY MATS NON-TOXIC?

Our play mats are made from TPU and are certified as non-toxic. As parents, we want the best for our children and the planet. So the only choice in our eyes was to use TPU (polyurethane) instead of PVC (poly-vinyl chloride). We chose to use TPU because it eliminates the harmful and toxic chemicals like lead, mercury, formamide, cadmium, PBP’s and PBDE’s. TPU was developed to be a safer alternative to PVC. PVC contains dangerous chemical additives including phthalates, lead, cadmium and/or organotins, which can be toxic to you or your child's health.

TPU is not toxic and is safe in many applications. It is even used in biomedical applications. Since our play mats are made without any plasticisers or chemical/colour stabilizers, our mats are safe for our little ones and also for the planet. Also PU allows for a durable mat which can be used for years. 

ARE BABY JOON PLAY MATS ECO FRIENDLY?

Once composted TPU Polyurethane will biodegrade after 3 to 5 years.

WHAT DO I DO ABOUT MY PLAY MAT CREASES?

Due to the nature of the soft TPU foam, once unrolled for the first time, the play mats will have creases and slight curling on the ends which will settle after a few weeks once the play mat has been kept flat and is in use.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY PLAY MAT?

Wipe clean with a soft cloth & warm water (avoid harsh chemicals, oils and alcohol based solutions which may cause discolouration).

RETURNS, EXCHANGE & SHIPPING

We will gladly offer a refund or exchange on regular priced merchandise within 7 days of receiving your order. Since this is a baby product for safety reasons, the item must be unopened, unused and in the original packaging.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment.

Please note, The Baby Joon Company is not responsible for the shipping charges on returns. 

WARRANTY

Baby Joon play mats come with a 14-day warranty. Warranty does not cover any damage caused by incorrect use (please see Product Care Guide).

If you have received your play mat and found a fault or defect, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your delivery. 

Our warranty covers any manufacturing defect such as printing, tears or puncture marks found upon opening your package, and does not cover damage caused by general use including pets, sharp objects, pens, shoes, discolouration, and failing to follow the Product Care Guide.
